1989 Buick Regal wont hold a charge

1989 Buick Regal 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i bought a new battery and drove the car for a week . i let it set for 2 days and the battery drained. alternater checked out good .what do i do next. would appreciate any info thanx.....

Have the battery load tested this will prove the viability of the battery, also get a current draw test don, this will show up any excessive current draw with the key off.
