1989 Buick Regal 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 89 buick reagal with a 3.1 you have to hold the peddle to the floor to get it to start then when you take off it has a dead spot. We tested the fuel pump and it is fine.

Have the coolant temperature and throttle position sensors checked out-recheck the fuel pressure.
