Electrical problem
1989 Buick Regal 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive

I had someone offer for me to fix a blinker system and i need to replace the blinker swivel switch on the column but hes stated that it has to be pulled out and flip'd up or down while holding it out to get the flashing blinkers to work for left or right and that he took it to a repair shop and they told him there will be wire damage, i dont know but probably to get more money from him but i was trying to get a round about visual on the problem if you might be able to help thats all the infornmation i know about it thanx.
