IM HEARING A LOUND KNOCKING SOUND IN MY CAR AS I DRIVE...I WAS TOLD THAT ITS A ROD KNOCKING...I WAS WONDERING WOULD REBUILDING BE THE BEST IDEA? OR SHOULD I REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ENGINE? IF SO WHAT ARE SIMILER ENGINES THAT I CAN REPLACE IT WITH WITHOUT ALOT OF STRESS OR MORE COST? IT HAS A 4.9L NOW..PLEASE HELP & THANKS FOR EVERYTHING

With 87K on it, it should still be in good shape. I would go by price. Your entire engine doesn't need rebuilt. It may just need a new crank and bearings.
