Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1989 Buick Reatta 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to replace the rear axle and was told that I might be able to substitute an axle from a chevy Lumina for this car, is this true and if so which year lumina would I use?

no a Lumina won't work as it's a "W" car and yours is eitehr a "C" or "E" car. you'll have to find out which one you have then go from there. I think those cars are like the Pontiac Bonneville or one of the Cadillacs of that era. You might check with a Junkyard as they may know.
