2005 Buick Ranier V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Do I have to remove the engine to replace the front rear end on a 2005 Buick Rainier? How much do mechanics normally charge for this type of work?

You don't have to remove the engine, but you have to raise the engine off the frame quite high.
A shop will charge you around 11 hours labor.
It is a very expensive repair.
