When accelerating in my 05 Buick Rainier it is making a whining noise. The best way to describe the noise is it sounds like a car that has no power steering fluid. All fluid levels are fine. It only happens when stepping on the gas. When coasting, the engine sounds normal. Any ideas what could be the problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi there,

From what you are describing, i would be looking for an air leak on the induction side, loose or split induction hose or loose air filter housing, start here.
