I just had a new Rack & Pinion installed, Since then I hear a noise when I back up and then make a hard turn to the left or right The noise occurs at the end of the wheel turn It sounds like something is rubbing
and I can feel it in the steering wheel Had it looked at 5 times They cannot find the problem The did hear it also

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

Did they do an alignment when they replaced the rack? with out actually hearing the noise, this may be the lock stops rubbing or it could be the pump un loading pressure as you are on full lock, dose the noise stop if you back off th steering just a tiny amount? so its not hanging on full lock?
