My car is displaying an oil pressure of 129 psi on the digital display and gives it as a 'normal' reading. I change the oil regularly with Mobil I, and the oil was recently changed again, but the reading did not change. The usual oil pressure I see when driving is about 60 psi. Is this safe, and will it cause damage? The car runs and drives fine so far. This reading concerns me greatly, since no other vehicle I've owned has exhibited such a high pressure. Thank you for your help!

My guess is the oli sending unit is faulty. I would suggest removing the sending unit and checking the oil pressure with a pressure gauge and finding if the pressure is really that high.
