My 2000 Park Avenue has 65,000 miles. After starting the car cold, it fluctuates in RPMs and does what I call 'loses air' meaning that it feels like it runs out of gas. This only happens for up to 15 seconds. After that it drives like a dream. It died once from this. Thanx in advance!

It is your throttle position sensor. Costs about $60 for the part. Needs to be replaced by a mechanic. Usually done during a tune up.
