2000 Buick Park Avenue car hesitates at times

on 10/09/2010 car would hesitate for a half a second or so while increasing its speed a couple of times in a mile. Also when I came to a stop light the car (only a couple of times) would buck and jerk forward and I would have to push lightly on the brake pedal and then it would behave itself. Would this be a fuel pump or transmisson problem any suggestions? Would appreciate your help.

Could be either, start by checking fuel pressure with mechanical gauge.
