We wonder whats broken.Looking @ the engine run, it seems just fine for 10-15 minutes.THEN it begins to spit, sputter & rev up & down(when given gas) black smoke comes out if you try to keep it running by giving it gas.It dies & wont start again till cooled off.Autozones diagnostic had no code to give.It just said running rich. What could possibly be wrong?

A sensor is bad, could be coolant temp, O2, TPS etc.

But all the sensors should set a code, is your check engine light on?
