There is a method of reading codes by jumping two terminals of the diagnostic connector with a paper clip. My diagnostic connector does not have terminals in the two ports refernced. What ports should I use?

you can not jumper the DLC on your vehicle..you MUST use a Tech 1 or Tech 2 scan tool to perform a OBD (on-board diagnostic) system check.
