MY GAS METTER JUMPS AROUND IS IT A SENSOR OR IS IT INSIDE MY TANK

Usually its the fuel sending unit- which is located in your fuel tank. And they run pretty expensive. Be prepared to spend around 300-400 just on the part.

I would have it tested before its replaced just to verify.
