Engine Performance problem
1999 Buick Park Avenue 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 99 Park Avenue with 130,000 miles.The engine stalls at and under 40 mph and dies.The fuel filter has been replaced as of today.Also the engine shacks bad and will runs again ,out of gear idling.At freeway speeds it runs fine and their is no evidence of the engine miss firing,no check engine has come on.Ant ideas?
