I replaced the crankshaft position sensor and the car ran fine. Now it is back to doing what it was doing. Starts up fine runs then shuts off. I took the car on a 400 mile trip and the car ran good.

If the light hasn't come on that makes it tough. It could be that you have a crank sensor that is going bad again, an ignition module... Has the fuel pump pressure been checked?

Are you refering to the regulator? Also, how much pressure was the pump producing?

We are going to check that soon, how much should it produce? What is the best way to test the crankshaft position sensor?

THe fuel pressure should be between 48 and 55PSI. Here is a how to for checking it and the fuel pressure regulator:

https://www.2carpros.com/how_to/how_to_check_fuel_pressure.htm

As far as the crank sensor, you will need a volt meter. Set it to AC voltage output. Connect it to the sensor and crank the engine. The sensor should generate a voltage signal of about 2 volts. Make sure you disconnect the output wiring except to your meter. Otherwise, the engine can start.

Please be careful doing this. Make sure to protect your hands, body...
