Had my transmission replaced with a used transmission and now my fuel gauge needle is stuck behind the post and doesn't move, and when I put the car in park the gauge says it is in reverse and so I turn off the motor wait 10 seconds and turn the key forward then its says it is in park.

I am wondering if all this could happen from replacing the transmisssion?

Yes this could have caused the problems. It sounds like the linkage needs adjusted for the gear indicator and they may have pinched a wire from the fuel pump causing a short which has caused the gauge to read the way it is.
