Electrical problem
1997 Buick Park Avenue Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 174000 miles

The temperture and fuel gauges no longer work. The needles for both gauges are pegged on the back side of the little post on each instrument face. The sensors for the fuel and temperature seem to be working as the low fuel indicator light still comes on when the tank gets low and the tempurature does show up when I scroll through the instrument readouts on the dash. Can the analog instruments be fixed?

If your needles are on the wrong side of the peg try this. Get a good magnet. Hold it close to the plastic glass in front of the gauge. Turn the magnet counter clockwise until the needle gets back to normal position.
