1996 Buick Park Avenue 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Car does not respond to throttle input after it gets up to speed. Cruise won't even respond if you touch the brakes then hit resume. Just seems as if the engine has no power to pick up speed to pass or resume with cruise engaged. Thinking it may be the mass air flow sensor, possible fuel filter or even that the catalytic converter may be plugged. Any help would be appreciated.

Has the check engine light come on? Also, have you checked the fuel pressure?
