Hood won't open

I cannot open the hood with the release on the inside. Is there a way to open it from the outside grill or from the bottom?

Actually, you can try with a screwdriver to move the latch, but it is difficult. Most times we send them to the body shop that can get them.

Has the cable broken? Did it break on the inside or outside? If it's on the inside near the release lever, you should be able to open it by pulling on the cable with a pair of pliers. If broken at the actual latch , sometimes you can crawl under the front of the car and get to the latch from underneath.
