2006 Buick Lucerne rough idle

Engine Performance problem
2006 Buick Lucerne 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my wifes lucerne started to hesitate and have a rough idle and from a stop it jerks and then goes when it hesitates the check engine light flashes and then stays off after the first start of the day it gets better but still some rought cruise control speed holding it will lightly rev from 2000rpms to 2500 rpms when on cruise control any help would be great thanks

It could be many things. If the check engine light came on, have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. Most parts stores will do it for free.
