When starting out going into first and second sometimes it shifts hard. It seems to do it after it warms up

Might be a shift solenoid issue, like it is getting sticky or something to that effect.You can try having the PCM scanned for trans codes, they wont always set a light if the trans is still working ie; shifting. Some GM trannies needed valve-body updates that had to do with harsh shifting, you might want to call a local trans shop and ask them about it.
