2003 Buick Lesabre Wipers work somtimes

I am experiencing wipers that come on when they want to. They don't come on immediately when I switch them on. While I'm driving then they may come on 20 minutes later. I can't control them when I really need them to come on. Is this an electrical problem.

When they work, use a test light or volt meter to see if the motor (under the hood) is getting power. IF it is, try running a new ground wire from the motor to a good ground on the engine, battery...

If that doesn't help and you are getting power and it still doesn't work, replace the motor.
