how can i pull obd codes without using a scanner. can you push dash buttons to activate on board diagnostics??

hi, with obd 2, at the least, you need an obd 2 code reader. As far as I know.

i have a 2002 caddy with obdII and i can just push the ac off and passenger warmer buttons to activate on board diagnostics. I was hoping i could use similar keys on the lesabre to get diagnostic codes

Don't know? I'm surprised you could do that on a caddy, obd2. I have done that on obd1 vehicles.
