2003 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My father in-laws car makes a noise down underneath the motor, it sounds like a bearing. This happens when the car is heated up. i thought it might be the oil pump please help?

Hook up an auxiallary oil pressure gauge and check to see if the pressure is low.
