2002 Buick Lesabre Windshield wipers

Electrical problem
2002 Buick Lesabre V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 82,000 miles

My 2002 Buick LeSabre Ltd has a problem with the windshield wiper system as follows.

Intermittent does not work except they make one pass at each detent when stepping up thru the detents but does not even give one pass when stepping back down thru the detents.

Rain sensor function does not work.
Low speed continuous works as suppose to.
High speed continuous works as suppose to.

occasionally out of nowhere they will make a single pass

New Windshield was installed about 6 months ago.

when placed in the intermittent position,the wipers will only work if water is on the windshield.Rain sense only works in intermittent position.

I have seen the windshield wiper control module go out and cause this issue which is inside the wiper motor, you will need to get a new new, here is how to change it out. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
