WHILE DRIVING I FELT A KICKBACK IN THE ENGINE AND THE TACH STOPPED WORKING FOR ABOUT 40 MILES....THEN IT STARTED AGAIN ?

Welcome to the forum, thanks for the donation. My first thought was the vehicle speed sensor or a problem with the wiring circuit. Have the trouble-codes checked, see if it points anywhere.
