2001 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 161000 miles

I just purchase a 2001 Buick lesabre it is overheating and i changed the thermostat but it is still overheating. what else can i try?

check coolant level and ensure radiator fan(s) are working properly.
