Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2001 Buick Lesabre Automatic

While driving, I heard a terrible noise and then the car would no longer move although the engine runs. Took to the dealer, and they said it was the transmission. The transmission was replaced, then they said that the axle is bad. Could the axle have prevented the car from moving instead of the transmission

Hi there,
If you break a drive shaft or the CV fails this will stop any drive, i would be asking what is wrong with the drive shaft.
