Electrical problem
2001 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl

We just purchased this car and the next morning on Thursday the car was dead so we checked the battery and it was bad, we put a new battery on it and the car worked fine until this morning and it was dead again. we charged the car using a batter charger and it started right up and has been running fine but do you possibly have any ideas as to why it was dead this morning.

There are a few possibilities. But the most common is the alternator. Fully charge your battery and drive the vehicle to an Autozone or CSK/O'Reilly and have them test your electrical system.

If your electrical system checks out OK, then you have an open circuit that is draining the battery overnight.

Let us know what you find out.
