Nearing time to replace front struts. Sears mechanic says job requires front end alignment. Local mechanic says alignment not necessary. Who is right?

Hi:
When the struts are removed, the camber bolts are removed too. Therefore, the best thing to do is have an alignment. If the mechanic thinks he can get it back where it belongs by eye, make sure to get a written warranty just in case the tires get damaged. Kep in mind, it can be done. I, however, recommend an alignment.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
