My cruise control buttons are located on the steering wheel and one day as I was driving, my cruise control went off by itself. Now if I keep the on/off button held down, the cruise control will keep the speed. But as soon as I let go of the on/off button, the cruise control stops. Is this a simple repair?

you need to replace the cruise control switch in the steering wheel. You can pry the old switch out with a small flat blade screwdriver.
