1999 buick lesabre; v6; died going down the interstate and will not start. I blew through the fuel line to see if it would bubble, (to see if there was gas in it) and it had nothing just straight air. So i dropped tank and removed fuel pump. The fuel hose inside the pump had a huge hole in it. Could not remove hose to replace so i just bought a whole new fuel pump. That was expensive! When i was removing old fuel pump i pulled the wires out of the 4 pronged electrical connector. Although i think i have put them back in the right position; a, b, c, d, i am doubting myself on this. Maybe enlightenment on which wire goes where? If this is not my problem and i have them hooked up correctly, then what could my problem be? What should i check or try next? vapor lock? unsure. please help

i was just woundering how you blew threw the fuel lines. i would check fuel pressure and go from there. if got good fuel pressure then must of hooked them up right.
