Headlamp Replacement (Buick)
Removal Procedure

Remove the 2 bolts (3) at the inboard edge of the headlamp (2).
Position the headlamp outboard in order to disengage the pins (1) at the rear of the headlamp (2).
Remove the electrical connectors from the headlamp (2).
Remove the bulbs from the headlamp (2).
Installation Procedure

Install the bulb to the headlamp (2).
Install the electrical connectors.
Position the headlamp inboard in order to engage the pins at the rear of the headlamp (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Install the 2 bolts (3) to the inboard edge of the headlamp (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts (3) to 5 NÂ m (44 lb in).

If you are installing a new headlamp (2), remove the horizontal aim adjuster restrictor from the headlamp (2). Discard the horizontal aim adjuster restrictor.
Inspect the headlamp aim. Refer to Headlamp Aiming .
