Don't know if this will help but our 99 LeSabre was doing the same thing. The dealer said it was low on coolant due to a leaking lower intake manifold gasket that I couldn;'t see. They topped it off and it seems fine but the service tech said to keep an eye on the coolant level. Apparently, Dexcool erodes the gaskets over time and the repair is expensive ($550) and can be frequent. No small wonder GM finds itself in the mess it's in. You might check your coolant levels. It could be that simple.
