1997 Buick Lesabre torque converter

Torque converter goes in & out of lockup at 2000 rpm in overdrive & 1600 in 3rd when going up a grade. no trouble codes. Went to a transmission repair -- top rated -- & head mechanic said that I should wait till it shows a code also top rated automotive shop said the same thing. I would appreciate any advice.

I would make sure the fluid is in good condition. You could try replacing the TCC PWM solenoid. It could have an intermittent fault.
