Noises problem
1997 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Automatic 112000 miles

high pitched squeak coming from serpentine belt, at the lowest connection, (toward the front of the car),
about 1" play in belt,
belt in good condition and aligned well,
sound diminishes/disappears with acceleration,


oil the axel of that part?
if so, what sort of oil? WD40?

Need more info to really help. You need to find out if the noise is from an idle pulley, or apump of some type. If you know how to take off, and put back the belt, take it off and turn, or spin all the pulleys to see if one makes noise. hope we were able to help. mickey-d
