DO I NEED TO REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL? IF SO, HOW DO I DO THAT?

No you do not need to remove panel. Remove the front part of the panel that the switch is in.

There are hidden screws they are plastic plugs remove them with a small screwdriver.

Inside these holes you will find phillip screws remove them and remove outer panel and switch is accessed.
