1995 Buick Lesabre popping noise from front end

I recently replaced all tyrods and put new tires, and front end alignmet. After about a month I now here a popping sound when I turn the wheel. I also noticed "tight spots" in the steering wheel, I put a small amount of powersteering fluid to the fill line. This only helped very breifly. What could be the problem?
