I recently purchased a LeSabre, and the oil light comes on when I am slowing down to lower mph's to stop and goes on and off while idling with foot on brake. Stays on for most part but never happens when I am driving, just when slowing down and idling. Also, volt light comes on randomly while driving. Time for a new battery? What could this mean? My mechanic seems to think when im slowing down and then stopped, that the oil in the pan is sloshing to one side and causing the sump to not suck up oil causing the light to come on. But when i'm sitting still the oil wouldn't be sloshing around, therefore the light should be going off but it isn't if that were the problem. Thank you guys for your help!
