Just bought this car for $600 with a bad harmonic balancer. So far, i cannot get my hands on the puller for the 3800 engine, and was told that i didnt need it really. my air compressor here cannot run my impact hammer, so any other thoughts on getting it off? tried for hours and hours last night to get it off with no luck.

I believe it will require a puller. The problem is, all the puller sets I've seen don't include bolts of the right diameter (they're all too big), but they can be obtained at one of the hardware stores with a complete supply of fasteners, such as True Value (but not Home Depot). Get the new balancer and take it with you to find a fit.

just be sure to use the special tool, if you use a outer arm puller it will bend the pulley and when you put it back on youll be wondering why the belt is wearing abnormally fast.
