Hi Guys,

I have a car, that is an older GM car with the OBD-2 connection under the dash, but requires you to go to a mechanic and spend $100 everytime you need to scan the codes. What kind of code reader is available on the market that can scan this type of thing in the home?
I would like to be able to keep the price of such a reader at $200 max. I know I saw one in a catalog somewhere, and since it's not technically OBD-1 or 2, just what is it?

If it has the 16 pin DLC it requires a Tech I scanner, On a 12 pin if it has a wire on pin B ground it and read the flashes
