1992 Buick Lesabre engine shuts off

this vehicle will just shut off after idling an extended period of time, and occasionally when driving slowly, such as in parking lot. you can restart the car without a problem, but it can become hazardous with someone behind you. it is as if you turned the key off except all the dash warning lights come on until you restart. any ideas? thanks ji

Welcome, how long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores might loan you a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. You may need to check the throttle-body sensors and clean throttle-body.
