I just bought this car and it started and ran great for a while. Today I was driving and the engine died. At first it was hard to start back up but it finally started. After letting the car sit for about 2 hours, I tried to start it again and it was hard to start. I got three blocks and the engine died as I waited to turn on the street. It finally stated again after I opened the gas cap. There is nothing electrically wrong with the car, it has something to do with the fuel system, what could it be?

Hi there,

you will have to check the fuel pump pressure and delivered, replace the fuel filter and check the fuel for contamination, you should also have the tank venting system check as well, start here.
