The compressor went out in my air conditioner. I do not want to put oujt the money for a new one. Can the car run without the air?

hi. the air compressor has a clutch that kicks in when u turn the a/c on.if it dont work like u said,then it wont hurt it at all.better gas mileage will occur.and 4-75 air conditioning aint that bad either.
