1990 Buick Lesabre Starter flywheel

My starter does not engage the flywheel. The starter just spins. The engine only turns over after several starts. Will it get worse. What would it cost to fix this.

You need a new starter. The starter gear is not coming out of the starter body to engage the flywheel. Starter costs roughly $70 if you purchase yourself, and 1 hour labor. Free if you install yourself.
