Welcome to the forum, there may be two bolts, an adjusting bolt, goes in a slot in a bracket. To adjust belt tension, you pull out on the body of alternator, tighten the adjusting bolt. The belt shouldn't be too tight.
The other bolt is a pivot bolt, may need tightening also. It lets the alternator pivot, while you adjust the tension on the belt. You'll have to use wrenches or socket and rachet, whatever works for you.
I got in a bind, one time in the past, happened to be parked right in front of autostore. Didn't have the proper tools with me. The guys in the store let me borrow tools right off the shelf. Of course the part I replaced, I bought from them.
