My check engine light came on, and then i;ve been having truoble starting up my car. took it to a neighborhood shop (Firestone - ICU). first time i took it they said it needed a major tune up... took it home and the same day it woudnt start and check engine came back on. took it for the second time and they replaced the crank shaft... had it for 3 days and yet the same problem seems to be happening. it sounds like it wants to start up ... but just doesnt, i had to leave it for 3 hours and tried to crank it back up and did on the 5th try.. check engine is back on. any ideawhat the problem might be??

If the check engine light is on, then you need to have the computer scanned to determine where the problem is coming from. Most parts stores will do it for free, so have that done and let me know what you find.

Also, if you can't get the car there, check to see if it is getting spark and fuel when it doesn't start. One will be missing and I need to know which one it is.
