Car down need help

1988 buick centery a/t 162000 miles engine size 2.8 car well not start or turn over battery and alternator check out I don, t have a clue what to start checking next I would appreciate any help car is just dead

Check the connections to the battery. Make sure they're tight and free from corrosion. If so, try jumping the battery to get it started. Take the car to have the battery and the alternator checked to see if it's good. Do this first and we'll go from there.
