2003 Buick Century will not go over 3000 rpm

Engine Performance problem
2003 Buick Century 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the engine will not go over 3000 rpm, i removed the cat. and still will not go over 3000 rpm, i replaced the fuel filter and still the same. also replaced crank sensor and no change. fuel press is good. there are no DTC's any ideas?

you may want to look at air intake passages. if it cannot intake the air, it wont be able to put out any more than what is comming in. Also. even if fuel pressure is good, it may not be putting out enough volume to keep it running like it should.
